Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. In addition to her current work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She has also hosted The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
